The first step for deciding to study Global Hospitality Education abroad is to apply for admission to the appropriate college or university in the prescribed format.
Steps for admission
For admissions into Global Hospitality Education courses abroad we need to keep in mind deadlines. An ideal time frame is 3-6 months before your intended course start date. Application forms are available with us.
You have to meet admissions deadlines, give mandatory tests and arrange finances to show for admissions. SOP, LORs too take time and have to be well presented.
The earlier you plan the better it is. Those of you who have done/doing HM course would recall your first management class in college “Plan-Budget-Execute”.
Mandatory documents
Each course has its own set of documents required to be attached to the application form. These include
1. Completed Application Form
2. Educational documents
3. Work Experience documents
4. Statement of Purpose
5. Letters of recommendations
6. Mandatory Tests :
– SAT/GMAT
– IELTS/ TOEFL
7. Applications may require a non refundable application fee
Exam / Tests to clear
Most of the English speaking countries require an English proficiency exam of IELTS or TOEFL as part of the admission criteria. Generally a score of 6.5 IELTS/ 79 TOEFL is adequate for Bachelors and Masters/MBA. For Diploma a score of 5.5 IELTS & 65 TOEFL is acceptable. Some countries accept your Class 12 English score of 60+ and do not require any IELTS or TOEFL.
Some American/ Canadian universities require you to give SAT exam if you going for Bachelor program. GMAT may be required for some MBA programs. Mr Kapil Chandok will guide you for the appropriate exams and deadlines.
